John H. over at Rochester’s Downtown Fitness Club (DFC) sent out this word of advice in their morning email and I thought it was worth sharing! So, I’m blatantly stealing it and giving John a shameless plug in the process…
“Looking for a Metabolic Boost? I suggested this to the Summer Body Transformation Challenge participants today: at :15 after each the hour, each hour today, do 15 push-ups, 15 bodyweight squats, and 15 sit-ups or crunches. Or at :15’s do 15 push-ups, at :30’s do 15 squats and at :45’s do 15 sit-ups. Either way… notice the energy it will give you by day’s end and how well you sleep tonight! And even though you can’t ‘feel’ it, it will boost your metabolism!”
Modify this however it works best for you, but you get the idea. Great tip on boosting your metabolism, which means your body burns calories more efficiently. Plus, you’re sneaking in a workout throughout the day which is savvy time management. Thanks, John!
