I now know from my own experience, and from other elite athletes I know, that you can be vegetarian – even vegan – and perform at the highest levels of sport. My own gains in trail running speed as well as my body’s growing ability to recover quickly from tough training can only be chalked up to eating vegetarian. Well, that, and hard work.
But, fighting? MMA? Can an elite UFC fighter make it work as a vegan? Enter MAC DANZIG.
