My body annoys the heck out of me. My brain and my spirit are wired the same way: GO! GO! GO! If I had my way I’d be up at 4am every day and train 20 hours a week… My body? Not so much.
Apparently I’m not one of those people who can get away with 4 hours of sleep a night and still manage to function… Try 9. I’m at my optimal when I’m getting 9 hours a night. My brain and body need to rest and repair. And getting up early? I have tried and tried to get up early to train… I am not and probably never will be a morning person. Training at night I can totally do.
So, what’s the moral of the story? All of us are wired totally differently; listen to your body and find what works for you. Just because you train differently from someone else doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. Putting your time in consistently is what counts more than anything else.
