LOCAL PEOPLE DOING AWESOME THINGS #dreambig #neverstop #flx #roc

I love ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Because that’s the point. All of us are capable of more than we realize. So, hats off to Anika LaLopa and Joseph Day!

Anika just completed a 9 mile Stand-Up Paddleboard “out-and-back” of upstate, NY’s Irondequoit Bay just off Lake Ontario – and did it to raise awareness and funds around the overuse and water quality degradation facing the area (a cause near and dear to my heart). Great work, Anika!

Meanwhile, Joseph Day is swimming the widest part of each of the 11 Finger Lakes to raise money and awareness for OASIS Adaptive Sports Inc., a nonprofit organization connecting disabled veterans with athletics. A former Marine himself, Joseph understands the value athletics can offer Vets returning to civilian life. You can read more about Joseph’s swims here:

Great work, guys!
