Wrestling with my daughters and my nephews is probably one of my favorite things to do. Turns out it also helps improve their self-esteem, understand boundaries, and learn self-control. Plus, depending on the age/size of your kid(s), it can be one heck of a workout – which is always a plus for those of us struggling to find time to be active.
The Art of Manliness just ran a great article called THE IMPORTANCE OF ROUGHHOUSING WITH YOUR KIDS which highlights a growing body of research supporting the substantial positive physical, emotional, and psychological benefits of parents and kids roughhousing… Pretty cool!
