One of my favorite blogs, for obvious reasons, is the Adventure Blog over at National Geographic. Chalk full of all kinds of adventures from all over the globe, it’s pretty much a never-ending source of inspiration for a self-described adventurer such as myself… But one recent post really caught my eye because it so well embodied the essence of adventure.
Gather together a few adventurers skilled at their craft, pick a fuzzy destination like “a few remote mountains in Antarctica that no one has climbed,” and commence to kick some ass (in this instance, put up a few new routes on unnamed peaks and… circumnavigate the whole range while at it). You know, a solid adventure.
I thoroughly enjoyed the post / read and will look forward to the full report coming soon in print. In the meantime, definitely go check out the (jaw-dropping) pics and story. Hope it inspires you too. Enjoy!
